Anirban Bhattacharyya wears many hats. He is a bestselling author, television content producer, standup comedian and an actor. He is the Creator, Producer and Writer of the hit true crime TV show Savdhaan India. He is also the Producer of the hit series Crime Patrol and Fear Files.

Anirban is the bestselling author of the true crime books ‘India’s Money Heist: The Chelembra Bank Robbery’ (Penguin) launched by superstar Mohanlal and endorsed by S. Hussain Zaidi, and ‘The Deadly Dozen: India’s Most Notorious Serial Killers’ (Penguin) endorsed by John Abraham and Ayushmaan Khurrana and launched by Anurag Kashyap. Anirban likes writing across multi-genres and has written the Childrens’ book The Adventurous 6: The Sinister Summer Holiday.

He has been the Content Head at Channel [v] and The Walt Disney Company (India). He has acted in movies like Sui Dhaaga and Mission Mangal.

Anirban grew up in a boarding school at Kalimpong. And went on to do his Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata; and a Master’s Degree in Film, Television and Mass Communication from MCRC Jamia, New Delhi.

The Hills Are Burning (Fingerprint), his latest is a memoir of his growing up years in  boarding school at Kalimpong amidst the violence of the Gorkhaland agitation in the late 80s’. It is a coming-of-age emotional roller-coaster with love, violence, friendship, heaertbreaks, death and how to live. The book has been endorsed by Aamir Khan, Booker winner Shehan Karunatilaka, Amitav Ghosh and Prosenjit Chatterjee.
